USPSTF به این نتیجه رسیده است که شواهد موجود، برای ارزیابی تعادل بین فواید و مضرات انجام غربالگری کمکی برای تشخیص سرطان پستان با استفاده از سونوگرافی، MRI، DBT و یا سایر روش های تشخیصی در زنانی که پستان های متراکم دارند و یا غربالگری با ماموگرافی برای آن ها منفی بوده است، کافی نیست.
در رابطه با زمان و فواصل انجام غربالگری و عوامل خطر نیز در حال حاضر اطلاعاتی در دست نیست.
